Won Ton Soup 🍜

This recipe has become a family favourite.
My kids have requested this recipe to make while away at University.
When they are home, it's certainly a must to make!

It really is a simple soup to make and once the wontons are done, it goes together in minutes.
No need to order out when you can make this delicious soup at home!

WONTON SOUP
***************
1/2 lb ground pork
1/4 cup chopped green onion
2 tsp soya sauce
3 tsp cornstarch
1 clove garlic - minced fine
3 tsp sesame oil
1/2 cup water
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 package wonton wrappers
8 cups chicken stock
3 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp ginger - minced fine
2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
2-4 cups Chinese cabbage sliced
1/2-1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup sliced green onions
〰〰〰〰〰
Blend ground pork, green onion, soya sauce, cornstarch, minced garlic and sesame oil in a medium bowl.
In a small bowl mix water and cornstarch.
Place a wonton wrapper on a work surface.
Place about a teaspoon or so of pork mixture in the middle of wrapper.
Wet edges of wrapper with the cornstarch mixture.
Fold over to make a triangle.
Join corners to seal.

Repeat until all wontons are done.
Keep finished wontons covered with damp paper towels to prevent them getting all hard.
In a large pot, combine, chicken stock, sesame oil, ginger, and chicken bouillon.
Bring to a boil.
Add wontons and cook for about 7 or 8 minutes.
Add vegetables and simmer 5 minutes.
